A little simplistic but does scratch the itch of roguelike creature collector very well. I wasnt expecting it to be structured with towns and little events and minigames. It's a lot of fun and the sequel seems to be shaping up well too.

Fine, I'll admit it, I cheated on my playthrough of this, after the first two deaths of my party I would restart the game mid-battle whenever someone died to a super effective attack. I did not beat the game legitimately and I am a fraud.

Terrible UI: no mouse at all, no way to rebind 'basic' keys like 'select', really obfuscated stats/options, proportions of windows are all off, text too small for the window size, etc, etc..
