The story in the first game was good, this one was not good. The story conflicted with the first game. They upped the price of warships, which was one of the only big differences. Just buy the first if you want a good strategy game with a minor story.

This game is great... but the constant dialogue pop ups in missions is just dragging the gameplay out. Inbetween missions and even those only walk and click missions are fine, the only problem is that every turn in a mission has be preceded by 5 dialogue
