Sadly despite the misleading 2024 release date, this just crashes immediately on planetfall (alien crossfire). Why bother doing a fake rerelease if you won't even fix it to work. Shame on you Firaxis.

Learning and getting used to the UI is a fat pain in the balls, and best of luck keeping track of all your stuff in late game. However, if you can deal with all that, this is an AWESOME strategy game and quite possibly the best science fiction video game

Alpha Centauri is one of my all time best games. I got it on a whim on steam, and worked fine for about a week. However, as of the latest Win11 update it crashes on starting a game. Ill update this review when I can get it working.
