If you want Steam to track your playtime but still play the latest version, you can download the newest build from GitHub and copy it into Steam’s CDDA installation folder. You can then launch it from Steam as usual. However, achievements will not work.

Aftr spending 200+ hours on the version that's not on steam, Ibought the game a year ago, or something, and it was worth it. As of writing the 0.H version isnt available for native Linux users, so you have to run the game with Proton to get the 0.H versio

Really solid, infinitely replayable, super crunchy zombie survival game. Imagine Project Zomboid but made by the Dwarf Fortress guy and that's about where this game falls. Definitely an acquired taste, but once you get a taste for it it'll stick with you
