If you're coming from A Legionary's Life and enjoyed that game, you'll like this one too. But be warned: RNG kicks harder than in the predecessor, but as a veteran you should be able to handle it. Definitely recommended. If you want the full experience ri

+ good historical accuracy and storytelling
+ clever intertwining of individual combat with leading a formation
+ both forms of combat appear simple at fitst, but offer surprisingly deep tactics
+ character creation offers good replayability

Part visual novel that takes you along Caesar's campaigns in Gaul and beyond as a centurion on his legions, part turn- based RPG in melees, part turn-based strategy commanding your cohort... it's real good! If you think you'd like it based on what I said,

An excellent sequel to the previous game, using the old tactical fighting and building on it with strategic fighting as part of a cohort in a legion. The dev keeps updating the game with more chapters.

Never Second in Rome has enough unique content to set it apart from A Legionary's Life, especially with unit mechanics and two actions per turn in individual battles, which introduces new considerations regarding the strategy in combat. Would probably lik

Very fun game with plenty of potential. It has a little in common with A Legionary's Life, but to just call it a sequel would be inapt. It is its own game in every right. It's really easy to appreciate the developer's attention to detail on the history of

An excellent, well thought out, highly polished game. 8.5/10. Difficult, but in such a way that makes you think - not just arbitrarily so.
I miss the meta progression from the first game, and hope that that is soon added.
*edit: because all progression

It's quite different from A Legionary's Life (and it does not pretend to be otherwise) and it took an acclimatisation phase to get used to, but, after it was passed, it became a very good game.
My first experience (still in the demo) was being utterly an

A solid addition to its predecessor A Legionaries Tale. Expanding on the idea with tactical unit combat, follwing the history of Julius Ceasars conquest of Gallia and subsequent events. You are a Centurion and tasked with leading your century through thes

The game comes up short for now, I will assume it's early access still and the dev will streamline the game before 1.0. Positive review to encourage the dev who is doing amazing work! I have close to 100 hours in the original A Legionary's Life, loved eve

Homestly would not recommend the game in its current state. Its predecessor was fantastic, and this one could be but it needs some real design work.
To keep it short, my main problems are:

The main thing I loved about legionary's life that I could come back to play many times because of the improved points thanks to my last plays. This is a different game which is nice, but not being able to improve points after completing many games makes
