I understand this is EA, however it just feels like a very poorly designed sandbox and doesn't seem to offer anything of value.

Avoid this "game" - its a waste of time. Me and my friends lasted less than 10 minutes before realising its awful.
This is clearly someone's first game that they've developed, or an asset flip because it's extremely janky and incomplete game.
