I seem to recall poking around the Sandbox a bit before starting the campaign proper. The Sandbox is interesting enough and got me excited to try the campaign, which turned out to be beyond my capability to play. It's difficult for me to upvote a free DL

Of course it is hard to see any downside to a free DLC, but this is exactly what this game needed. The original game tutorials are a bit rushed and difficulty ramps up a bit too fast. A sandbox is just what is needed to give a new player time to practice

This is developing brilliantly.
I absolutely waited for this game to get out of RTS waters and become a REAL open world (sandbox) Space-Game, with trading, exploring etc.
I generally LOVE the flight mechanics that are implemented !!!
