I enjoyed the feel of the combat (especially the rhythmic melee attacks you can use to save ammo) and the upgrade systems for your character and weapon

Devastated, as I recall, was a good, minimalist post-apocalyptic RPG with an engaging story that's easy for anyone to jump into, but with plenty of depth. I played for an hour and was nowhere near finishing it by my estimations.
