I'm not even sure what happened to me. I am exhausted with a headache and I don't even know how to describe this multimedia mess that visually overwhelmed me and became annoying to deal with. I did everything on offer, read everything, and I cannot tell y

This game is not for everyone, you need to be at least interested in absurdism (like Beckett's work) or have some notion of Kafkaesque narratives. Besides that, you can find a pretty interesting work, with an engaging story and gorgeus art design. It can

While there are moments of interest here, Becket has too many dull spots for me to recommend it.

Quite experimental and avant-garde, in certain ways. To enjoy it fully, you either have to be a connoisseur of this kind of game, or be in a certain mood. Likely to be worth a replay after going through a bit more of life.

This game is not what I expected. I'm not sure what I expected but it wasn't this (it's not a bad thing).
I'd say Beckett is rather experimental, but I don't find it pretentious. It's nevertheless really disturbing, especially with all the noises..

Beckett: A Bleak Beauty (But is it a Game?)
Beckett, the latest offering from the team behind The 39 Steps, dives headfirst into existential despair. Steeped in a stark black and white world, reminiscent of Carravaggio's paintings, it weaves a narrativ

The writing is purple and juvenile, lining a plot that exists mostly in exposition. That being said, I had a grand time reading out the text of the game with a friend and making fun of this. The presentation is (sometimes) kind of rad! Well worth the 79 c

Well, that was certainly an experience. Not disturbing as such, but definitely thought-provoking. I think this one will stick with me for a while.

Pretentious in the best way possible, the art and dialogue make it well worth playing.

A very experimental and I'd say art house visual novel in the same vein as Eraserhead movie or House of Leaves book. The story (a detective drama mostly) deals with topics of getting old, mental issues, trauma, the past and the essence of reality itself.

A very interesting experience. I'd definitely consider it interactive fiction rather than a game, so if you're someone who doesn't like that you might be dismayed by Beckett. (There are only two instances of actual gameplay over the course of the story.)

A visual novel with superb dialogue, great presentation, and an intriguing, seamless mix of multimedia styles. Not usually my sort of game but if you like interactive fiction, go straight for it.

As a auditory and visual experience, it is interesting and worth its cost. However, the storytelling is half baked with too many ideas/themes and not enough focus on any of them for it to be worthwhile. Their inspirations are very visible which is fine b
