It wasn't bad. If I have a complaint, it's that you can't 100% achievements, unless you own all of the DLCs, inlcuding the dumb re-skins that no one cares about. Nonetheless, that's hardly what I would call bad practice by the game publisher.

In my opinion: It's a really good playtime value.
The base game is available for free, that's nice.
You can also download eight episodes for free.

Before you buy: There are no Dinosaurs.
Jurassic contains cavepeople and palm trees, the puzzles were fun, after THWOMP it gets harder. Took me about 90 minutes to complete.
